As a first step, as a graduate student, you should visit the closest
map library and research this topic in the various catalogs,
periodicals, etc. at that locale.
You should be able to do quite a bit at the map library at Chico; but
a visit to the UCBerkeley map library should also be valuable for
historical files of cartographic periodicals.
If you have already taken these two steps, it would have been helpful
to state your research so far, before posting on maphist. If not, to
paraphrase, research locally, then---globally.

Iam a graduate student working on a cartographic history project. I am
interested in an information concerning maps printed on silk during the
World War Two era (Before, during, and after). If you have any knowledge,
thoughts, suggested references, please let me know. Thank you in advance
to any and all.
