Hi,
A professor here wants to verify the spelling of a location (a small neck
of land) near Newport, RI before something he has written goes to
publication.  In the 17th century, it was known as "Applegate's Neck," or
"Applegateneck."  Possibly the name no longer exists today.
 
Can anyone help in verifying the past and (possibly) the present name of
this location?
We haven't been able to find it.
