These are being cataloged based on patron priorities because of our large arearage of uncatalog maps. The uncataloged ones are available in special facsimiles drawers with the maps organized by LC Class numbers including the imaginary option. A file is maintained for the maps located in these drawers but there is nothing in the online catalog. We want to have all of these maps cataloged as soon as possible but in the meantime we are imputing a collection level statement that indicates they are held by our library. I use an index sheet with the names of the plans to see what we have. Sometimes I refer to the catalogs before pulling a plan to show a patron what it looks like.
