Y. Gross and Y. Yosef Cohen, Sefer Marmarosh. Tel Aviv: Beit Marmarosh, 1983. Check oclc for a copy on ill. Also Yizkor/Memory books, filled with pictures, exist for many, many villages in Eastern Europe. Check with a Jewish history/culture library in Texas for more information on these. Perhaps the Museum of Texas Cultures library? This is a daunting undertaking, especially for a public library with limited resources of an academic nature. My customer is attempting to get an idea of the layout of a Russian village during this era, where buildings are situated, the types of buildings, etc. He is attempting to recreate a village in the Ukraine that was or could have been a battle site during WWII. If you could help me in this matter, or refer me to some other institution that might carry such resources, I would be deeply grateful!
