The program will provide opportunities to see LCG&MD facilities, view the collections, and meet and discuss professional issues with the staff and administrators of the Division. The schedule will intentionally have plenty of free time for interaction among WAML members and guests and staff of the Geography and Map Division. The tentative schedule is below. A final program with registration information will be sent out VERY soon. This information will be mailed to WAML members, e-mailed to the WAML member e-mail list and to MAPS-L and it will posted on the WAML Website at http://gort.ucsd.edu/mw/waml/WAMLFM98.htm See information at the end of this message to help you reserve your own lodging in the Washington DC area. We recommend staying at one of the many hotels in the Rosslyn area, which is located just across the Potomac from Georgetown. The Rosslyn Metro Station is served by the Orange and Blue Lines, both of which stop at Capitol South, the metro stop closest to the Library of Congress. For information on hotels in the area, see the Arlington County, Virginia Visitor's Services Web Site (http://www.co.arlington.va.us/arlcty/acvs/index.htm). They have a list of hotels in Arlington (http://www.co.arlington.va.us/arlcty/acvs/hotels.htm) and a map showing hotels in the Rosslyn area (http://www.co.arlington.va.us/arlcty/acvs/graphics/hotel4.gif). Capitol Reservations (http://www.capitolreservations.com), a hotel booking service for Washington, D.C. area hotels, can book some of the Rosslyn area hotels at a discounted rate. Their telephone number is 1-800-VISIT-DC (1-800-847-4832). *********************************************************************** Linda Zellmer Map Librarian Arizona State University Libraries P.O.
