Hi,
I have been attempting to gain information on a certain ancient fortress
in a mountain range to the southeast of Pyongt'aek, in South Korea. To
this end, I communicated with Dr. Mark Byington, of Harvard. He said
that he believed that it dated from the Paekche Kingdom, some 12
centuries ago, but that he would need a more exact location (from me) to
be sure.
I saw this fortress from a recon plane, several decades ago, when I was
stationed in South Korea, but the maps that we have here in the Rogue
Valley, such as at Southern Oregon University, are simply not detailed
enough.
If you would have any suggestions, please let me know.
Thank you. - Lane F. Watson
