To this end, I communicated with Dr. Mark Byington, of Harvard. He said that he believed that it dated from the Paekche Kingdom, some 12 centuries ago, but that he would need a more exact location (from me) to be sure. I saw this fortress from a recon plane, several decades ago, when I was stationed in South Korea, but the maps that we have here in the Rogue Valley, such as at Southern Oregon University, are simply not detailed enough.
