The conference planning group is Barbara Dewey, Jim Duncan, Marsha Forys, Carol Hughes, Karen Zimmerman, and Regina Sinclair (Regina is serving as Administrative Intern on this project). The Conference Planning Group hopes that you will consider submitting a proposal or poster session and/or attend the conference. The conference is limited to 200 participants (nationally) so early registration is advised. This is an opportunity for library professionals, technologists, and faculty from a variety of academic institutions to share their experiences and successes. Conference registration fee is $75 for UI affiliates (librarians, faculty, staff, students) and includes two lunches, refreshment breaks, and a reception. Plenary Speakers are Brian Hawkins, President of EDUCAUSE and Betsy Wilson, Associate Director for Public Services, University of Washington Libraries. Librarians, technologists, and faculty are invited to submit proposals for presentations of twenty-five minutes and for poster sessions. The proposals should be between 250-400 words and may be sent via mail, e-mail or fax for the following tracks - Undergraduate User Education, Faculty and User Education, and Special Topics. Proposal deadline is May 1, 1999. The proposals should include: title of paper or poster session, names, affiliations, phone, fax and e-mail of the authors.
