Survey maps usually have the name of the then current Surveyor General of India printed directly under the center of the map. Thus the P. Morris?? Have you tried the India Office Library, or the Ames Library at the Univ. of Minnesota? Sorry for the lack of concretions, just going by memory. Brian Brian P. It was published around the start of the century and contains a "General Survey of India". They also gave me the name Philip Morris, who is thought to be the cartographer. That unfortunately is all the information I have. Does this ring any bells with anyone in maps-l land? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ~ Quinn -- ___________________________________________________________ Quinn R.
