Study Abroad Program Representative Visit
On Thursday, February 10th, Marilyn Hubbard, Southern Program
Representative for the Beaver College Center for Education Abroad, will
visit campus. She will be available to share information about Beaver's
programs and answer questions from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in Room 215 Barrow Hall.
The Beaver College Center for Education Abroad is one of the oldest and
largest study abroad programs in the country. They work with over 60
universities and special programs in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland,
Australia, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Austria, and Greece. Information on their

The new UGA summer study abroad program in Spanish and Women's Studies to
Costa Rica has extended its application deadline to February 15, 2000. The

Scholarships for Study Abroad in Japan
The Association of Teachers of Japanese is now accepting applications for
its Bridging Scholarships. This scholarship provides from $2,500 to a
maximum of $4,000 to cover transportation to Japan and partial living
expenses. The deadline for applications for students studying in Japan
during the 2000/2001 school year is April 3, 2000. For more information and
