Study Abroad Fair a Success

The 17th Annual University of Georgia Study, Work & Travel Abroad Fair was
held on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at the Tate Center. Over 1,900 students
attended the fair and received information on programs from 87 different
universities,
organizations or individual program directors. If you missed the fair, you
can still receive information on programs by coming by the Study Abroad
Library in 203F Barrow Hall or by signing up for an Options Abroad Session
by calling 542-7903.

***************************

Change in Options Abroad Session Schedule

From now on, the OIE will be moving the Options Abroad Session currently
held on Wednesday to Tuesday from 3:30-4:20 p.m. Please see our web site
for a full listing of those sessions: http://www.uga.edu/oie/studyabroad.htm

Unfortunately, due to space, we may not be able to print every recipe in
this version. Please include with your recipe your name, country,
ingredients & measurements, cooking and/or baking directions and contact
information (for ISL purposes in case there is a question about our

the Athens and Metro Atlanta area). Email your submissions to

Changeover to Euro Currency

This is just a reminder that in January, most European countries are
switching from their individual currencies to the Euro. If you have
significant amounts of foreign currency, you will have only a few months
after the switch to convert the currency that you have. If you don't wish
to get stuck with unusable currency, please plan on using or cashing in
what you have before January.

Virtual Global Education Fair

Hobsons will be holding a Global Virtual Education Fair from November
14-16. This is an excellent opportunity for students to "meet" with top
educators around the world and recruiters across Europe. The event is live
on November 14-16 and
students can now pre-register online at http://www.hobsons.com/vef/ for
more information.
