November 12 - 16, 2001 is the national celebration of International
Education Week. Please note the many activities below to celebrate the week.
Photo Contest Reception
The reception for the Student Council on Globalization's Photo Contest, The
World in Pictures, will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at 5:30 p.m. in
Room 215B Barrow Hall. There will be refreshments served and the winners
will be announced and awarded their prizes. All the spectacular photos that
were submitted will be on display at that time. You will also get your
chance to vote for your favorites for the People's Choice award. There were
228 U.S. student photo entries from all over the world and 33 international
student entries from both the U.S. and other countries - three times as
many photos as last year. Come see the beautiful photos and join us in
congratulating the winners!
NSEP Scholarship Workshops
Learn about how to apply for the National Security Education Program
Scholarship. This scholarship provides full funding for study abroad in 40
different languages to over 80 countries. Workshops will be held Tuesday,
Nov. 13 from 2:00 - 2:50 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 12:20-1:10 p.m.
