Study Abroad Scholarship Deadlines
MARCH 15, Friday--Ambassador Scholarships for the University of New Orleans
International Summer School in Innsbruck are due on March 15.
Applications, which are available in the Study Abroad Library, will be
accepted in 209 Barrow Hall until 5 p.m.
MARCH 15, Friday--Gilman Awards--Check out their website at
<http://www.iie.org/gilman>. These are for Fall 2002 and Academic Year
2002-03. Students must be receiving the Pell Grant.
MARCH 16, Saturday--IIE Grants for Study Abroad. These are for Summer
2002, Fall 2002 and Academic Year 2002-03 programs. Web site:
MARCH 20, Wednesday--DAAD Scholarships for study in Germany! Go to
APRIL 1, Monday--Freeman-ASIA Scholarships are due for Fall 2002 and the
Academic Year 2002-03. If you are studying in an Asian country, you could
be eligible for this scholarship. This is an electronic application that
needs the electronic approval of a study abroad advisor. Make sure you meet
with Julie Avila in the OIE and provide her with your program and financial
aid information before you submit the application. Check out the web site

APRIL 30, Tuesday--Academic Programs International Scholarship applications
are due for Fall 2002 and Academic Year 2002-03 programs. See Julie Avila
in the OIE for details and an application.
APRIL 30, Tuesday--AustraLearn Scholarships for fall 2002 and academic year
2002-2003. Scholarships range from $300 to $5000 and are awarded based on
academic achievement, financial need, leadership and personal motivation.

Ms. Kristi Hanratty from AustraLearn will be available on Monday, March 11
in room 144 Tate Student Center to meet with students considering study
abroad in Australia or New Zealand. Drop in at anytime between 3:30-5 p.m.
