You may attend one of two workshops:
1. Feb. 21st Savannah, GA, Location: Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens
2. Feb. 28th Griffin, Ga Location: The University of Georgia, Griffin
The workshop will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

Below is a brief description of the workshop.

There is a $195.00 registration fee for your attendance at the propagation
Beware, if you confirm that you will be attending and do not attend you
will have to reimburse the Agriculture Education Staff Development account
for this money.
The Propagation School will feature sessions conducted by scientists from
the University of Georgia and experienced industry professionals. Included
in the program is a half-day lecture session, in which we will introduce
the scientific background of plant propagation, from basic seed and cutting
physiology, to which rooting hormones to use for difficult to propagate
woody plants, and the essential details of specific propagation systems.
The other half-day, the hands-on session will give you an opportunity to
'get your hands dirty' and learn how to propagate Georgia's "best of the
best" ornamentals. Get an early start on your spring garden by discovering
the Georgia Gold Medal winners, the best annuals, herbaceous perennials,
vines, shrubs and trees, which are top performers in Georgia's wide-ranging
soil types and climates. Find out how to put the exciting, fulfilling and
money-saving skill of plant propagation to use in your home. Best of all,
there will be plenty of actual exercises to get your fingers dirty?and you
can take home a load of cuttings and seeds when you leave! You also will
receive printed materials consisting of extensive and detailed information
included in the lectures and hands-on session.
