The Propagation School will feature sessions conducted by scientists from
the University of Georgia and experienced industry professionals. Included
in the program is a half-day lecture session, in which we will introduce
the scientific background of plant propagation, from basic seed and cutting
physiology, to which rooting hormones to use for difficult to propagate
woody plants, and the essential details of specific propagation systems.
The other half-day, the hands-on session will give you an opportunity to
'get your hands dirty' and learn how to propagate Georgia's "best of the
best" ornamentals. Get an early start on your spring garden by discovering
the Georgia Gold Medal winners, the best annuals, herbaceous perennials,
vines, shrubs and trees, which are top performers in Georgia's wide-ranging
soil types and climates. Find out how to put the exciting, fulfilling and
money-saving skill of plant propagation to use in your home. Best of all,
there will be plenty of actual exercises to get your fingers dirty?and you
