Student Correspondence
If you will be studying abroad or doing an exchange in the
upcoming spring semester and are interested in sending
correspondence back to the Red and Black, please contact

experiences published in order to increase awareness and
interest within the UGA community for traveling abroad. This
project is not yet solidified, but we are trying to compile
a list of interested students.

AustraLearn Scholarship
AustraLearn would like to encourage all spring 2004 accepted
students to apply for an AustraLearn Scholarship. Over
$200,000 in scholarship assistance is distributed by
AustraLearn each year. The deadline for submitting the
scholarship application is November 30. Accepted
AustraLearn students should have an application via e-mail

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals
Reminder – applications for the program MUST be postmarked
no later than December 1, 2003!
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young
Professionals is a one-year study/internship exchange
program designed to strengthen ties between the younger
generations of the United States and Germany. Primarily a
cultural exchange, it combines language study, professional
schooling and an internship-providing a firsthand experience
of many aspects of German life. The program is meant for
candidates pursuing business, technical, agricultural or
vocational careers, although candidates from all fields are
encouraged to apply. The exchange begins each year in late-
July and ends in mid-July of the next year. For more

Holiday Ornament Workshop
If you haven’t gotten a chance to make an ornament for the
ISL Holiday Tree, or want to make another, come to the ISL
Lounge (210 Memorial Hall) anytime between 10 a.m. and 5
p.m. on Tuesday, December 2. This will be your last chance
this year to make an ornament.
A Taste of Diversity, Fourth Annual Culture Show
A Taste of Diversity, including a fashion show, cultural
performances, and ethnic foods, will be held on Wednesday,
December 3 in Georgia Hall of the Tate Student Center from
7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by Delta Phi
Lambda Asian Interest Sorority and Lambda Phi Epsilon
National Asian-Interest Fraternity and will be free to the
public with a small fee for the food. Contact
