Subject: FFA Tutoring Program Grant Funds Available
Dear State Staff -
The National FFA Organization is excited to announce it is now accepting
proposals from FFA chapters that either have or are seeking to implement
a tutoring program that focuses on improving achievement levels in math,
science, and/or reading. This opportunity is open to all FFA chapters.
Ten one-time $1,500 grants will be awarded on a first-come first served
basis. These funds can be used as seed money for a new tutoring program
or support funds for an existing program. Simply complete the attached
short application and submit it electronically to Mr. Joe Martinez at
[log in to unmask] Hard copies will not be accepted. If you have any
questions, please contact Mr. Martinez at 317-802-4316 or Mr. Damon
Spight at either [log in to unmask] or 317-802-4402. Deadline for applying
is February 28, 2007. We anticipate grant notifications will be sent the
week of April 16, 2007.
This funding opportunity is under the auspices of the Partners in Active
Learning Support (PALS) program with funding provided by the Cooperative
State Research Education and Extension Service agency of the United
States Department of Agriculture.

among your local FFA chapters, reminding them that the deadline for
applying is February 28, 2007.
