The International Student Life office will be providing tax help to international students for the 2007 tax year. We would like to remind all international students and their dependents that you need to complete tax paperwork for 2007 if you were present in the U.S. There are various ways to receive assistance for the Federal and State tax forms including: workshops, walk-in sessions, and appointments. CINTAX (online software program) is also available for all students who need to complete their federal forms.
WHERE TO GET STARTED WITH YOUR TAXES:
We suggest that you first complete your federal forms, before receiving assistance with your Georgia State tax forms. Please e-mail [log in to unmask] for the CINTAX password and further instructions.

GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT TAXES or INFORMATION ABOUT WORKSHOPS:
If you have general questions about taxes, or would like more information about workshops you can e-mail [log in to unmask] Questions/e-mails will be answered in the order that they are received.
If you are a non-resident (international student) you should not use Turbo Tax or other software programs that are for residents. We suggest using CINTAX or programs specified for non-residents. ALL international students must complete tax paperwork even if you did not work in 2007. Tax paperwork needs to completed and mailed by April 15, 2008.
We look forward to working with you. Please do NOT respond to this e-mail if you have questions. Please e-mail [log in to unmask]
