1. If you didn't get the chance to join us by the pool, here's another
chance.  Let's enjoy TGIF (Thank Goodness It's Friday!) together.
Remember every Friday this month we are hosting an International Pool
Party at Legion Pool (across from the Tate Center) from 8:00pm
-10:30pm.  Everyone is welcome.

2. International Students:  Women's Group.  Come to a meeting to share
problems, issues, and solutions with other international women.

1. The International Student Life Office is seeking organizations,
students and professionals who are interested in hosting new
international students for one to three nights during Fall orientation.
Many new students will need temporary housing accommodations while they
search for permanent housing.  Please contact Saehee Chang at 542-5867
if you are able to help.

2. The International Student Life Office is seeking organizations,
students and professionals who are interested in providing airport
pick-up for international students who will be arriving for fall
orientation. Help ease some of the pressure of coming to a new country.

Problems and Potentials of a New European Country
A presentation by Tihomira Stepanic Fabijanic, President
International Center for Anthropology Motovun, Rijeka, Croatia
Monday, July 17, 2000 - 10:30am, Main Building - Lucy Cobb complex
201 North Milledge Ave, 3rd Floor Conference Room

Tihana Stepinac Fabijanic is a social anthropologist in the Rijeka
Institute of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Science.  She works with
women's groups and community groups on a wide range of community
development projects and activities. Ms. Fabijanic is a guest of the
International Center for Democratic Governance, a division of the Carl
Vinson Institute of Government at The University of Georgia.  For
information contact:  Rusty Brooks at 542-3350.

2. New and returning Graduate Students: Information Fair and Orientation
Nights sponsored by the University of Georgia Libraries.  They will
share tips to make life in the Libraries easier, give you a guided tour,
and introduce you to the Libraries' catalog, plus an array of electronic
resources.  They will even provide refreshments for these nights.

The Peace Corps is having a reunion for people who were in Sierra Leone
in the 70's and 80's.  They are inviting Leonean students and anyone
interested to join them July 21, 22 and 23 in Walton County - Social
