Teaching English Assistantships in France

The French Ministry of Education offers paid, 7 month teaching
assistantships in France in primary and secondary schools to Americans
under 30 years of age majoring or minoring in French. The program dates for
next year are Oct. 1, 2002 - April 30, 2003. Participants teach
conversation classes for 12 hours a week and receive 890 euros per month.

Bilingual Spanish-English Resume Book

If you are looking for a job or internship and are bilingual (Spanish and
English), you may want to add your resume to a book being put together by
the Hispanic Student Association. It will be sent to over 700 companies in

Student Representative to Study Abroad Risk Management Review Board

The Office of International Education is currently accepting applications
for the Undergraduate Student Representative to the Study Abroad Risk
Management Review Board. The Risk Management Review Board is composed of
seventeen members who represent various facets of the University. The
undergraduate student representative provides other members of the Board
with a student's perspective on the issues under consideration by the
Board.  All applicants must have already participated in a study abroad
program. Applicants who will be available to serve until May 2003 or later
will be given preference. Other candidates will be considered as long as
they can serve at least one full semester. The Board currently meets on
Fridays from 9-11 a.m. four times per year. The student representative
would also need to be available at that time to participate in the
meetings.  To request an application, please reply to this e-mail. The
deadline for application is January 9, 2002.

Credit Approval Forms

Don't forget that if you are planning to study abroad this spring on a
non-UGA program or a UGA exchange program, you need to turn a Credit
Approval Form in to the Office of International Education (209 Barrow Hall)
at least 3 weeks before departure. Forms can be obtained from the OIE or
downloaded from our web site at: http://www.uga.edu/oie/forms.htm

ANZSAC invites you to play a popular form of Rugby for men and women from
the Southern Hemisphere. It is fast, fun and involves all the skills of
Rugby without the pain of being tackled! All you need to do to stop
("tackle") someone is to tag them.
No skills required except for having fun! Everything you need to know can
be explained in 5 minutes flat. Meet at the Rugby field at the Intramural
Fields at 4 p.m. Sunday. The more, the merrier. The Rugby field is located
on the right of the main entrance, just look for the "H" goal posts.
