Work Study Abroad Awards - Application due March 28

A new work-study funding opportunity for study abroad is now available for
2 students planning to study abroad summer 2003, fall 2003, AY 2003-2004 or
spring 2004 on either a UGA or a non-UGA program. The total award is $500.
Award winners will be required to do 90 hours of work for the UGA Office of
International Education by June 30. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or
permanent residents. Applications are due March 28, 2003 in 209 Barrow
Hall. The application can be downloaded from:

Internship in International Education

Georgia State University has an opening for an internship in its Study
Abroad Office beginning March 24, 2003 until July 1, 2003.  This is
full-time, paid internship ($14 an hour). Position does not include
benefits. Intern has primary responsibility as study abroad advisor for the
University. Under the supervision of Assistant Director, the intern will
provide individual and group first-time advisement and recruitment for
study abroad.  The intern will also assist with the coordination of annual
events and special projects and oversee the study abroad library.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree
-Study abroad experience, preferably in more than one region of the world
-Proficiency in at least one second language
-May require travel
-Occasional evening and weekend work
-Ability to make presentations to groups of people

Scholarship Opportunity for ISEP Programs in France and Germany for next
academic year

Students who are interested in studying through ISEP (International Student
Exchange Program) in FRANCE or GERMANY for the academic year are eligible
to apply for a $3000 grant for study at an ISEP member institution in
France or Germany. In addition, the Board of Regents is also offering an
ISEP study abroad grant of $500 in addition to other new BOR funding
programs for study abroad.
