From time to time many of you have adults in your community who want to learn AI . ABS will be having two AI schools next week and has some openings in each as of today . Schools are usually limited to 15 students . On September 12 , 13 , and 14 a school will be held in Calhoun . There are two openings in that school as of now . An AI school will also be held in Fitzgerald on September 15,16, and 17 . As of today there are 6 openings in that school . Cost is $325 per person . The schools  begin at 9am and go to 5pm . The big advantage of a ABS school is the number of cows available to practice on .  With cull cows bringing $800 you don't have many people donating cows to use in a AI school . ABS buys open cows to use in their clinics .  A school not only includes AI practice on cows but heat detection , handling semen and AI equipment , nuturition as it relates to AI , disease prevention , AI synchronization systems , etc .  Attending an AI school makes a beef or dairy producer a better manager because of the overall subjects discussed .

If you are interested or know of others who may be they need to call Bobby Freeman ,  who is the new ABS southeastern representative , at 478-955-5940 . If you can't attend these schools you can get your name on the list to attend future schools usually held in February of each year .
