International Education Week (IEW) 2005: IEW 2005 will be held from November 14-18, 2005 this year. International Student Life has a number of exciting events planned including an international festival (co-hosted with AIESEC), global discussions, an international film festival, and many other events. In order to plan and organize everything, we need YOU to help! If you are interested in joining the IEW 2005 planning committee (and getting more involved with ISL), please come to a meeting on Wednesday, October 5 (this week!) at 5:01 pm in Leadership Conference Room, Rm. 238, Memorial Hall. ISL will have another wonderful coffee hour on Friday, October 7 in the Gallery of the Tate Student center from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. This week's Coffee Hour will be sponsored by the Thai Student Association. Come out and enjoy the culture, free food, drinks and fun! 3. ISL will be sending out information about the International Graduation Ceremony that will be December 16 at 3:00 pm in the Gallery of the Tate Student Center. If you are going to graduate in December or graduated this past summer you are welcome to participate. The graduation ceremony is free! Monday, October 3, Get Smart Week. Sponsored by the High Rise Academic Team, a partnership of the Division of Academic Enhancement, Franklin College Advising and University Housing. This is a week of academic and cultural events that will include programs such as Reducing Academic Stress, Building Your Career Portfolio, and Academic Honesty. Tuesday, October 4, 21st Annual UGA Study, Work and Travel Abroad Fair. Sponsored by Office of International Education and Affairs. With more than 100 exhibitors, this year's event will be the largest ever at UGA and the largest of its kind in the southeastern U.S. Anticipated attendance: 2,000+. 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
