Here is another great study abroad opportunity that I failed to post in the earlier message.

UGA SPRING SEMESTER IN CORTONA, TUSCANY, ITALY

Study abroad in the beautiful medieval hilltop town of Cortona, in the heart of Tuscany, just over an hour north of Rome by train.  Coursework in studio art, art history, Italian literature and creative writing.  Open to students of all majors.  All instruction in English by UGA faculty.  Faculty-guided field trips include Rome, Florence, Venice, Spoleto, Orvieto, Assisi, more.

Program dates: February 1 - May 1.  Program fee (approximately $9500) INCLUDES tuition (roughly $2000), meals, housing and all travel/hotel costs within Italy.  An especially good deal for out-of-state students, for whom a semester in Cortona is as or less exensive than a semester in Athens.

Application deadline: early November.  For more information, contact Patrick Denker at [log in to unmask] and see  http://dunciad.com/cortona.pdf and http://art.uga.edu/cortona .  Ciao!
