WinterGreen Conference: Educational Opportunity for Teachers &  Students





Thursday, January 25th the Georgia Green Industry will be hosting Georgia’s
premier horticulture conference at the Classic Center in Athens.  As in the
past, teachers will have the opportunity to earn 1 plu by participating in
the conference. Reminder that teachers who desire a plu must be registered
on the GVSDC website for the conference.

Again this year, GGIA is opening its doors to your students
and for the first time will be conducting the GGIA Junior Certification
(Plant ID and Written Exam).  Students who pass the certification will
leave with a portfolio certificate and GGIA Jr Certification T-Shirt.   Top
individual will be presented with a plaque.  Registration for certification
testing is $10.00 per student if teacher / school are GGIA members. If
teacher/school are not members of GGIA, registration for certification
testing is $20.00 per student.

For those teachers and students who preregister by January 5th conference
fees to UGA Campus Tour, WinterGreen Conference and Trade Show will be
covered. Registration fees after January 8th will be $10.00 per student and
$20.00 per teacher. To register fill out the below information fax or
