2007 Georgia Forage Conference

Georgia Grazing Lands Conservation Coalition (GGLCC) is sponsoring a
Forage Conference in
January and February, 2007. The conference will be held at four locations
in the state-- Floyd,
Greene, Sumter, and Appling Counties. Conference speakers will discuss how
to deal with the
effects of drought on forage production and utilization, and provide the
latest information for
managing the pests that typically result when forage is stressed. In
addition, area producers will
talk about their operations, and offer their insight into effective
management and resource
conservation. The conference should benefit producers as well as those
providing them technical
assistance. Conference participants will learn innovative approaches for
managing drought, and
be challenged with new ideas to improve the efficiency of forage/livestock
operations.
