I've been seeing a flock of 30-50 White-rumped Sandpipers and about 20 Wilson's Plovers in tidal salt ponds of Tortola, British Virgin Islands. All birds are feeding vigorously during lowering tides, no bands or flags were seen. The expected Willets, Oystercatchers, Spotted and Solitary Sandpipers are also present. Are the WRSA an expected species for the BVI and region at this time?
