Had a great study abroad experience and want to spread the word?  Studying abroad soon and want to get out some of that nervous energy while you're waiting to depart?

Here are two great opportunities to help spread the word about study abroad!

This year's fair is October 3rd and 4th, in the Tate Center.  Student volunteers are needed to help with set-up; take-down; greeting, counting attendance, and distributing information at the door; and assisting exhibitors, including some running and carrying.

Spread the word about study abroad, meet some new people, and get some exercise!

Volunteers are needed for all time slots from 8-5 Wednesday and 8-4 Thursday (the fair is open 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.).  You can volunteer for any length of time of two hours or more.  Coffee, soft drinks, and water will be provided all day, and volunteers who work around lunch time (roughly 11-2) can also arrange for a free lunch before or after their shift.

To volunteer, contact fair coordinator Kornelia Probst-Mackowiak at [log in to unmask] or 425-3278.

Returned study abroad participants - besides the fair, opportunities abound all year to help spread the word about study abroad!  Peer advisors get training, advice, and handouts so they can speak to clubs, classes, etc. about study abroad and help us give presentations around campus and assist at events.

There will be an information/orientation session this Tuesday, September 11th, at 3:30 p.m. in the OIE Conference Room (Bank of America, third floor).  To RSVP or get more information on becoming a peer advisor, contact Julie Escobedo at [log in to unmask] or Monica Catalano at [log in to unmask] .
