Eung Su “Mike” Lee, an undergraduate student here at UGA, is conducting a Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) research project titled “The Need for Comprehensive Immigration Reform” under the guidance of Dr. Larry Nackerud at the School of Social Work.  The purpose of this research project is to determine how the United States can best reform its current immigration policies.

As part of this research project, the student researcher would like to interview international students here at UGA on a voluntary basis to gain insight into areas such as:

• The legal process of obtaining the F-1 or other student visa
• The credentials that an individual needs to be eligible to study in an American university
• The experience of living and studying in the U.S. as an international student
• The international student’s transition from the university setting to the American workforce (e.g. switching from F-1 to H-1B)
• The international student’s opinion on the current state of U.S immigration policy

Any UGA international student who is either interested in volunteering for the interview or would like to request additional information should contact the student researcher:
