Hello all!

I hope you are all west rested from Perry & ready for another weekend of fun

work for you or your students. There will still be a $5.00/ student fee
for participating (this fee goes to help the FFA Center recover some of the
costs for purchasing & providing this opportunity).

On November 3, we will have classes set up for you when you arrive. We (Mr.
Jary Douglas, UGA Livestock Judging students, Mr. Billy Moss & myself) will
be there to help you work through the classes and work on reasons if you
want. You are still welcome to attend and work through the classes on your

starting at 3:00 pm and available until 6:00 pm as drop in. You don't have

Do you want to give your students real practice in Livestock Judging?
Do you find it hard to have a variety of animals for practicing?
The Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center has a program available for you!

The Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center is hosting an Independent Study Livestock
Judging Clinic. The Center plans to purchase three classes of market hogs
and three classes of market lambs at the GA National Fair. We will also
have three classes of heifers from the Center’s herd. The animals will be
penned by class and prejudged. Placing will be available upon arrival.

The animals will be available from Monday October 19, 2009 – Friday November
20, 2009 (excluding Sundays).

You must register in order to take advantage of this opportunity. An
advisor must be present. The cost is $5 per student (not including meals or
lodging.) There is no charge for the advisor. Even if you do not have a
date in mind, please contact us as soon as possible if you are planning to
take part in this program.

Our goal is to have a minimum of 20 chapters participate in order to make
the livestock purchases worthwhile.

We strongly recommend that you combine this opportunity with a BASIC
Training. Bring your students and we will provide a teambuilding program
using the low ropes and/or high ropes course. For more information on the
BASIC Training, visit
