The National FFA Organization celebrates National FFA Week during the week of George Washington's birthday.
Always makes me ponder the question was George Washington an FFA member ? :-)

This year, National FFA Week is February 21-27.
As part of FFA week, the Georgia FFA Association hosts the FFA Day at the Capitol.
Each year North Region is represented by 8 chapters. (Four from each area)
This year's FFA Day at the Capitol will be Tuesday Feb. 23rd.

The day begins a breakfast were the FFA meet and eat with members of the Georgia General Assembly, Georgia Department of Education, FFA Alumni, Young Farmer's Association, and representatives from the agriculture industry.
Governor Sonny Purdue, State Superintendent, Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture, Senators, Representatives and House Speaker will speak to the group during the breakfast. Following the breakfast, FFA members visited with their respective Legislators at the State Capitol, are recognized on the Senate and House floors, and will have a group picture made with the Governor in the Capitol.

If your FFA chapter has not participated in this event in the last 4 years and would like to be considered for this year's FFA Day at the Capitol send your request into Ms. Renee Lozano,  [log in to unmask],  by Nov. 16th.
