The Georgia Wildlife Federation welcomes you and your family to stroll the trails, boardwalks, and gardens at the Alcovy Conservation Center in Covington.
8:00AM – 3:00PM
TRAILS, BOARDWALKS, AND GARDENS: Bring your binoculars and introduce your kids to birding. Practice your nature photography skills or give nature journaling a try. Particpate in a family scavenger hunt.
ART EXHIBIT: First public display of the 2010 Georgia Jr. Duck Stamp winners.
CAMP CHARLIE: Learn more about this new overnight camping program at the Alcovy Conservation Center.
BIRD VIEWING WINDOW: See the brand new bird viewing window and learn more about plans to create wildlife habitat at the Alcovy Conservation Center.

BIRD WALK:
Naturalist led bird walk through various habitats in and around the Alcovy River swamp. Meet under pavilion at 7:45.
11:00AM – 1:00PM
LUNCH AT MOM AND POP’S:
Hotdogs, hamburgers and snacks available. All proceeds benefit local Jr. Bass Busters.
12:00PM – 1:30PM
BE OUT THERE: A NATIONAL SUMMIT ON CHILDREN AND THE OUTDOORS
Hosted by the National Wildlife Federation, this webcast will address the educational and health problems resulting from children’s declining contact with nature.

PRIVET PILE-UP:
Join other GWF volunteers as they continue efforts to rid the property of Chinese privet. Meet at the amphitheatre at 1:45. Bring your gloves.
We'll be there rain or shine. Hope you will come out to enjoy Georgia's great outdoors.

Directions from Atlanta: Take I-20 East past the exits for Covington to Hazelbrand Road/GA 142, Exit #93. Turn left off the exit ramp. Cross back over the Interstate and turn right onto Hazelbrand Road (at the intersection with Home Depot). Travel approximately 1.5 miles. Cross over the Cornish Creek Bridge and follow signs to parking.
