The UGA Turfgrass Research Field Day in Griffin is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, 2010.† Please put the date on your calendar, and visit for information and registration as it becomes available.


Free Mosquito Training Events Ė May 20 and May 24-25

On May 20th the Metro Atlanta Mosquito Control Conference will provide training on various aspects of mosquito control and provide calibration of spray machines in the afternoon. The event will be held at College Park Regional Health Center, 1920 John Wesley Ave., College Park, GA. 30337. RSVP by May 14th by calling Natalie or Kim at 1-800-609-9414 between 10 AM and 7 PM or simply leave a complete message.

On May 24-25 a training course will be conducted at LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA. dealing with the identification of adult mosquitoes. The contact for this course is Dr. Ros Kelly of the Georgia Division of Public Health. Dr. Kelly can be reached at 404-408-1207. This course is a great opportunity for small programs to get an individual trained in adult mosquito identification.
