2010 GEORGIA 4-H & FFA BEEF SCHOOL
WHEN: June 21-23, 2010
WHERE: UGA Livestock Instructional Arena – Athens, GA
WHO: Open to all youth --- 4-H and FFA
COST: $225 --- includes all meals and lodging

All forms must be signed by the County Extension Agent or the Ag Ed Teacher!
Beef School is a 2 night, 3 day learning experience for youth who exhibit steers or heifers. Each participant brings a steer or heifer with them to the school. The calf can be owned or borrowed and
may be a prospect for the coming show season or a calf that was shown the past season. Please be sure that the calf is broke and tame. The students are divided into groups according to showing experience. All aspects of managing and exhibiting club calves are covered, including bed making;
rinsing, hair care & washing; equipment care; what to take to a show; fitting and clipping; judging; showmanship; selection; team events and much more!
Teen Leaders may apply to come to the school at a reduced cost of $125. Teen Leaders are not
allowed to bring a calf.
Agents and teachers and other adults may apply to come to the school as adult leaders at a reduced cost of $125.
