If you would like an opportunity to have an up close view of how the national proficiency award program is conducted at the national FFA convention, this is a wonderful opportunity. National FFA is in need of more room hosts for the rooms where national proficiency interviews are conducted. Room hosts are not judges. The room hosts role is to monitor room the room and insure that all candidates are treated fairly. Additionally, the room hosts are responsible for working with the judges to be sure that they are select a winner and that the correct name is submitted to the national staff once a decision has been made. All room hosts attend an orientation meeting, and then they are responsible for going over the operating procedure with the judges in their room. If you committee, you will be expected to work by the following schedule on Thursday, October 21 in Indianapolis.
