The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will be holding a National Archery in the Schools Program Basic Archery Instructor workshop Wednesday, Dec. 8 in Hazelhurst.
This is mainly for Ag and PE instructors interested in teaching an archery unit or starting a school archery team, but other teachers and school volunteers are welcome to attend the training and receive certification.
A school that has two or more teachers certified will qualify for a $1,500 equipment grant through DNR. The workshop will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
