It’s with local in mind—from the local commercial farm to the local small grower—that the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences presents the 2011 Georgia Ag Forecast. UGA ag economists will give the annual economic outlook for agriculture and agribusinesses. Local speakers will talk about what has made them successful. And the keynote speaker will give a broader view on the current locally grown trend. All of this will be followed by a Q&A session and a networking lunch. Participants will leave the meeting with a preview of the upcoming year and a copy of the 2011 Ag Forecast Book, which is designed to give you a detailed analysis of each major product (from broilers to vegetables) produced in Georgia. * The Ag Forecast meetings and networking luncheons will be held · January 24: Gainesville *· *Georgia Mountains Center · January 25: Tifton *· *UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center · January 27: Statesboro *· *Nessmith-Lane Center · February 9: Carrollton *· *Carroll County Ag Center · February 10: Macon *· *Georgia Farm Bureau Building * Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. The seminar will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and will be followed by a networking luncheon.
