Registration is now open for the North Region Agricultural Sales CDE's.  The
Area 2 CDE will be held at Oconee County High School on Nov. 15, 2011 and
the Area 1 CDE will be held at Sonoraville High School on Nov. 17, 2011. The
CDE's will begin at 4:30 p.m. please arrive no later than 4:30
p.m.  Students *will not* be taking a written exam at the area CDE. Please
call if you have any questions. Please remember that the *Area Sales CDE*
will consist of one component this year, Individual Sales.  Each team member
will sell the same product, but to different customers.  You should assign
your team members letters A thru D before the cde.  All Number A's will sell
to the Customer Profile A listed on the attached sheet and B's to B, C's to
C and D's to D. Also remember to double check the rules in advance and ask
questions if you have any.

Please do not think that if you don't own a self darkening welding helmet
that you cannot participate in the Sales CDE or you have to go out and
purchase 4 for the cde.  The judges will be instructed to treat all helmets
as if they are self-darkening types.  There will not be any points deducted
if the presenter does not have an actual helmet.  If your students want to
use a helmet as a prop, any type helmet will work.  Pictures of helmets will
work also.

As they research the product, they can print brochures and other items that
will help sell the product. Since they are selling a Miller Self Darkening
Welding Helmet, you can
assume that they are working for Miller and business cards and other items
can be made up to that fact.
