Message from Dr. Silcox:

#1 - Market Lamb & Goat Premium Checks mailed today

Premium checks for the lamb & goat show went in the mail today.  These go to the agent or teacher.  If you had exhibitors in the lamb or goat show, expect to see a tan 6''X9" envelope in your mail box about Monday or Tuesday.

If you have not paid the correct entry fees for the steer & heifer shows or have not submitted the signed entry forms, do not expect to see a little 6"X9" envelope until you get your entries straightened out.  The few people with problems have already received at least 2 e-mails.

If you want to see who gets checks, your premiums are posted at the entry website: http://www.georgia4h.org/public/apps/jrnatreg/eventmanager/managerdefault.cfm

#2 - Dairy Heifer Entry Deadline - November 15.

Last day to ship Dairy tags - November 8.

If you need to order dairy tags, get those orders in the mail by next week.  Tag order form:

#3 - Hog Entry Deadline - December 5

Remember to get your hog tags ordered before Thanksgiving.  Mail starts getting messy about that time of year.

#4 - All registered beef heifers need a registration number by November 1.

It is a good time to print out the Tag, Tattoo and Registrations numbers on your heifer & steer entries and ask your exhibitors to check to make sure they are right.  This could prevent some problems in February.
