Teachers,

The purpose of the Wildlife Management CDE is to stimulate student interest
and to promote wildlife management instruction in the agricultural
education curriculum, and to provide recognition for those who have
demonstrated skills and competencies as a result of instruction in wildlife
management, forestry and natural resource management.

This event is open to students in grades 6-12 who are agricultural
education students, and are paid members of a chartered FFA chapter. Each
member of the team must be a member of the chapter registering them, and
each studentís name must appear on the chapterís FFA roster at least 10
days prior to competition above the chapter level.

Chapters are limited to four (4) participants per team in each division per
school. The top three (3) teams from each area may participate in the State
Wildlife Management CDE.

During the area CDE, participants will compete in their respected practicum
areas. Practicums include: Whitetail Deer Management, Aquatic Management,
General Wildlife ID, and Game Bird Biology. *Area CDEs will not have a team
activity component.*
