The state FFA Wildlife Management CDE will be held on Saturday March
24that the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources on the
of Georgia campus in Athens. The top three teams from each of the six area
CDEs are eligible to compete.

Event registration and staging area will be held in Forest Resources,
Building 2, Room 100. Bus parking is available directly behind the Warnell
School of Forestry and Natural Resources. To access the parking lot, turn
onto East Green Street from East Campus Road. Driving directions to Athens

Each participant must have a clean clipboard, two sharpened pencils, and
may have an electronic calculator.  Calculators used in this event should
be non-programmable with only these functions  addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division, equals, percent, square root, +/- key, and one
memory register.  No other calculators are allowed to be used during the

*Each participant must bring his or her own instruments needed for
particular events*.  For instance, measuring devices will be needed to
determine antler length in the Whitetail Deer Management practicum. If
there is a question as to whether a particular piece of equipment will be
allowed, the decision will be made by the Area Forestry Teachers.

*The junior team activity will not contain questions from the following
reference: The Handbook of Georgia Boating Laws and Regulations. *

Several CDEs will be taking place on March 24th on the UGA campus. The
Georgia FFA office will send more general information for all contestants
about the day as we get closer to the event date.
