Subject: Goat Skillathon opportunity

Good Morning!

We would like to invite Youth in 4-H and FFA the opportunity to participate in the 4-H/FFA Skillathon to be held in Perry on Saturday, June 2 at 10:00 am. This event is in conjunction with the Southeast Kiko Goat Association Roundup and Sale June 1-2.

The competition this year is an individual event, although counties may bring several students from the same county. This is not an official event of Extension, so no insurance or state authorizations for travel are to be expected. Please insure your groups through your normal routes for County events.
The prize for the high individual will be a kiko doeling. If the winner decides they do not want the doe, she may be sold and half the proceeds will go to the winner.

The contest will consist of several skill sets:
Meat ID, Breed ID, Quality Assurance, Equipment, Feeds and Nutrition and Market Goat Evaluation of a class of Does and a class of Bucks (no oral reasons).
PLEASE RESPOND WITH THE PARTICIPANT'S NAME, CLUB, GRADE, COUNTY AND STATE. Registrations will be taken at the event, but we would like a pre-registration number to be able to plan for the contest set-up as soon as possible.
