Please see the information below concerning National FFA Scholarships. There is a significant change this year. Not only do students need to be on the FFA chapter roster, they must have created an AgCN account in order to be eligible to earn a scholarship. I encourage you to have your students begin to create their AgCN accounts.

If you have not gotten your students active on the AgCN, you can do that by "Printing Invites" from your chapter roster on the AgCN. The "Print Invites" tab will allow you to print off a specific AgCN code for every student on your FFA roster. Each student should take their specific login code and the website link and go establish their own AgCN account. Once they use the information you gave them and establish their account, you do not have to do any more leg work.

Let me know if you have questions. The national FFA scholarship process is now open!!!

Subject: 2013 Scholarship Reminder
Importance: High

Dear State FFA Staff:

The 2013 National FFA Collegiate Scholarship program is scheduled to go live November 15, 2012.  There are two significant changes to the program this year – Application Registration and Membership.

APPLICATION REGISTRATION:  Students will access the 2013 Scholarship Application through the Agricultural Career Network (AgCN).   Only students who create or have created accounts in AgCN will be able to access the 2013 Scholarship Application.  Confirm chapter rosters are in AgCN as soon as possible.

MEMBERSHIP:  Membership status will be checked before judging begins.  National FFA will no longer contact states during judging to confirm status.  Only students with a current, active membership status will be eligible to compete for scholarships.  The deadline to ensure active membership is March 1, 2013.

The online application must be submitted prior to 5:00 p.m. EST Feb.  15, 2013.  Signature Pages must be mailed postmarked no later than Feb. 22, 2013.

Please direct all AgCN and/or membership questions to 317-802-6060.  Email scholarship questions to [log in to unmask].

Thank you,
