Dear All:

We need your help recruiting high school students to attend the 2013 Natural Resources Conservation Workshop (NRCW)!

This summer camp will be held during the week of June 9th through 13th, 2013 on the campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, GA. The workshop is open to students who will be in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade during the 2013-2014 school year and are interested in natural resources.

PLEASE NOTE: In addition to being an awesome good time, students who attend the camp have the opportunity to receive scholarship money to apply towards college!

Please see the following email and attachments for more information and for application information. Also, feel free to pass this information on to others as we need all the help we can get spreading the word!

Thanks so much!

NRCW is upon us, and we know everyone is very busy with regular duties, but it's time to start soliciting teachers and partners for qualified student candidates to attend our upcoming Natural Resources Conservation Workshop.

The Annual Natural Resources Conservation Workshop will be held during the week of
June 9th through 13th, 2013 on the campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, GA. We need your help to recruit several students per district to attend this year's workshop. Please encourage local Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisors to recruit students as well as local sponsors to pay student tuitions.

Attached you will find a news release, flyer, brochure, and an application for display and for giving to potential candidates. And don't forget to use the NRCW promotional CD! The application deadline is May 24, 2013. On the application (page 2), NRCS representatives and District Supervisors must sign as sponsors before forwarding to ABAC. Please make sure students will be entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year (note the call out box on the application). The application and workshop information can be accessed on-line through our Georgia NRCS home page or<>. Attached is a copy of the 2013 news release for you to share with local media contacts. A copy of the news release can also be obtained on Georgia NRCS homepage. Please help us get the word out in your community!

Last year, we had 153 students throughout the state of Georgia, including 6 from neighboring states, who attended the workshop. We would like to thank each of you and our partners for making last year's 51st workshop a success with a great group of students. With your assistance, we know the 2013 workshop will be as successful!
