Based on our membership total, the Georgia FFA will have approximately 25 delegate chairs at the National FFA Convention this October in Louisville. The 8 State FFA Officers will serve as delegates, but that leaves approximately 17 spots for students to represent Georgia as voting delegates. Those spots will be filled based on the attached application. Please read the following and share this application with any student whom you feel is qualified. There is not a limit on the number of students that one chapter can submit applications for.

Who? - Any FFA member who is rising senior or college freshman (i.e. students who are currently finishing the 11th grade or about to graduate high school).  Students will be evaluated based on quality and quantity of FFA involvement and leadership development.

When? - Delegates will depart on Monday, October 28, and will return on Sunday, November 3. Students who are selected and commit to serving as delegates will be expected to travel to and from and stay with the Georgia delegation through the Convention.

What? - Each delegate will serve on a committee; conducting delegate committee work from Monday through Thursday. Once the convention begins, the Delegates will fill the Georgia delegation seats on the floor of the Convention center during each Convention session. Delegates will represent the Georgia Association in all official business.

Travel? - Delegates will travel together from Georgia to Louisville and back. Delegates will stay together in Louisville. All expenses for the delegates (travel, hotel, etc..) will be paid by the Georgia Association.

If you have a top-notch student who is mature, self-motivated and would be a great representative for our Association, please encourage them to apply. Delegate applications should be submitted to the Georgia Association by June 15.
