Many of you may remember former agriculture teacher C. W. Duke. I am sad to report that he passed on Wednesday, June 5th. Please join me in keeping his family and friends in our prayers.
TOOMSBORO, GA- Mr. Clarence Duke, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 11 am in the Toomsboro United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Ebenezer Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home friday from 5 - 7 pm.
Mr. Duke was a native of Faceville, GA. he had made his home in Wilkinson County for most of his life and was a retired School Teacher.
He was the son of the late Clarence Gordon Duke and the late Maude Granger Duke and was predeceased by a son Dale Duke. A veteran of the US Navy having served Honorably in WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Holland Duke of Toomsboro; daughters, Sandra Sallee of Cairo, Marsha Powers and Patti Duke of Toomsboro and Lisa Mathews of Macon; son, Clarence Alan Duke of Toomsboro;sister, Judy Ann Howell of Tallihassee, FL; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM).
