Ag Ed Region Team Members,
I hope this message finds you all well. My name is Michael Pisciotta and I serve as the Public Affairs Coordinator for the Georgia Agribusiness Council (GAC). One way that we live our mission at GAC is to advance the business of agriculture in the state of Georgia through educational initiatives. I have outreached to the Region Coordinators directly before, but I wanted to let you know that the Georgia Agribusiness Council awards up to four $500 Classroom Grants annually to fund special curriculum enrichment programs aimed at teaching agriculture as part of the Dr. Joe B. Crane Classroom Grant program. The postmarked deadline to apply for these grants is this Friday, Oct. 11. I have attached the short application for the 2013 Dr. Joe B. Crane Classroom Grants in hopes that you may share it with the ag educators in your area. I know there are some ag teachers that don't have the county or local support that many enjoy, and they could use this money in outstanding ways to benefit their students.
Here is a direct link to the application that can be downloaded online can be found below:
Thank you again and best contact me if you have any questions.
Best,
Michael Pisciotta
