For those of you still considering the grafting workshop on the 25th, we still have some slots available. I have included a list of individuals who have already used the google document to register.
Micheal Lee Barnes
Floyd B. Peters
Here is a reminder of the workshop details and link to register if you would still like to do so:
Instructor -- Hershel Boyd, citrus grower, contracted pecan grafter, independent contractor with Atlas Greenhouses
Time -- 9 am
Place -- 320 Rays Mill Pond Road Ray City GA
Needed to bring -- if you have time to pick up a grafting knife that's great, if not you can just watch and take part using Mr. Boyd's. He recommends a TINA grafting knife sold through AM Leonard if you'd like to buy one. A note pad and pencil will also be needed. We will be eating lunch outside so a folding canvas chair might be a great resting spot.
Dress -- We will be outside so dress comfortably and bring a jacket.
This workshop is offered independently of the CTAE resource network so you will need to be prepared to pay the $20 consumable fee (checks made out to South Region Ag Ed). The $20 consumable fee DOES include lunch.
If you have friends, students, fellow teachers, or community members who might be interested in attending feel free to sign them up as well. We'll cap the workshop at 40 people. Use the link below to register to attend:
