Subject: 2014 SAE Grants

The National FFA Organization is pleased to announce that the 2014 SAE grant round will open Sept. 1, 2014. The SAE grants use sponsor and foundation funding to provide direct grants to students that allow them to facilitate inventive supervised agricultural experience programs and meet the need of quality based SAE program and learning experience throughout the nation.

There are 141 grant opportunities available; which equates to $141,000 dollars available to students.   Returning grants include Chore Time Brock, Keystone Steel & Wire-Red Brand, Monsanto Company, Novartis Animal Health US, Inc., Organic Valley/CROPP Cooperative, Rabo AgriFinance and Trouw Nutrition USA, LLC.  New sponsors to the SAE grant program this year are: American Beekeeping Federation, Bush Brothers & Company, Caterpillar, CCOF Foundation, CF Industries, Country Meats, The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees, Inc., Fur Takers of America, Krone and The AET.  We are also pleased to offer grant opportunities to students through the funding of the National FFA Foundation.

For the 2014 grant year, we are very interested in receiving innovative, well-written, needs-based grant applications for student SAE development that could serve as models for future statewide programs.

To start the grant process, applicants should log on to AgCN.  Locate “FFA Application Center”.  From there you will find a link that states “SAE Application Center”.  This link will redirect you to AET. From this page you will be able to access and complete the grant applications.  If you are currently an AET user; you will be able to access the grant from the system as well under Reports.  Applications are due Nov. 15, 2014 by 5:00 PM EST.  Awards made for this round will be announced in Dec. 2014.  If you have any questions, or concerns please feel free to contact Dan Chabot at [log in to unmask].
