Lowndes County Schools is currently seeking qualified personnel for the agricultural education vacancy at Hahira Middle School until February 28, 2015.
Lowndes County Schools currently has one high school and three middle school agricultural programs and over 550 FFA members across the county. There is an established alumni chapter and advisory council shared by each of the four schools. The Lowndes County agricultural education program consists of three high school teachers and three middle school teachers who work together in planning and executing county wide events, CDE and state convention travel, as well as a shared banquet.
The Hahira Middle School agricultural program has been demonstrating increasing growth over the past five years. There is a greenhouse located a short distance from the agriculture classroom along with six raised garden beds. The administration is very supportive of agriculture and FFA. Hahira Middle School has been an exceptional school to work in fostering a sense of family and brotherhood.
