On Friday, June 5th there will be a hands on workshop in Tifton at Tift
County High School in the media center for those of you interested in
working on manipulatives to use in your classrooms to help facilitate
differentiated instruction to your students.

Using the differentiation strategy handout from mid winter conference we
will use the media center resources, materials you bring and help each
other brainstorm ideas to make the manipulatives needed for the strategies
Dr. Lyon shared with us.  The workshop is not listed on CTAERN therefore
you will not get PLU credit for attending.  Use the link below to register

Manipulative Making 101 -- Differentiated Learning Workshop

Time: 9am - 4pm
Location:  Tifton, Tift County High School media center
Items needed:  textbooks, lesson plans, course guides, cardstock, poster
board, construction paper, glue (rubber cement and Elmer's), markers,
Ziploc bags.

We will use the computers, printers and laminators in the media center, but
all other supplies and materials you will need to bring.​  IF you have any
manipulatives or strategies you currently use in your classroom please
bring an example or idea to share with the group.
